Full colour digitally printed vinyl is printed just like conventional full colour printing using 4 inks CMYK i.e. Cyan, Magenta Yellow and Black. So make sure your image has been converted to CMYK or your drawing use CMYK colours and not RGB. Images supplied as RGB will be converted to CMYK which will change the appearance of certain colours, however artwork that contains RGB will be rejected.

Although our vinyl is printed at resolutions of up to 720 dpi, this is to allow a decent reproduction on smaller vinyls that will be viewed closely. The further the viewing distance the lower the resolution can be. Resolutions of 200 - 300 dpi are more than acceptable. If you have a image file that is A4 and 300 dpi and you want it to be printed at A3 which is 141% bigger you will need to increase the resolution to 423 dpi so that when the A4 is enlarged by 141% the resolution remains at 300 dpi. As this extra dpi will increase the physical MB size of the file on larger vinyl it is better to lower the dpi to between 200 and 50 dpi when enlarged to same size i.e. 100%.

Minimum Cost Example: The mininum amount of vinyl we will cut is 1000mm x 290mm, we can cut smaller stickers within this area i.e. if you needed a 100mm x 29mm sticker we could get 10 from the 1000mm and 10 from the 290mm so you would get 100 stickers. If each of these stickers required a contour cut around them to allow you to lift them from the sheet, select the contour cut box. This would cost £69.56 + VAT including postage and very basic artwork or checking your artwork. If you did not require the contour cut the vinyl would cost £63.51 + VAT.

Other Options - that need seperate pricing :
Overlamination of non contour cut vinyl with a clear vinyl.
Vinyl for vehicle wraps as this is specialist vinyl.
For application to the inside of windows clear vinyl is printed on the reverse non sticky side. To make the images highly visible white vinyl or a white screenprint has to be applied over the graphics.

1-3 colour Gerber graphics can only be printed and cut from vector artwork, which means the if you view the artwork on a computer as outlines or in wireframe all the elements will be created with a single outline.

Scanning Greyscale Images
The exception being if you have a one colour greycale or bitmap image or duo tone or tritone image. Full colour images can also be printed but all images can only be printed on the gerber edge at a resolution of 300 dpi. (This resolution is no use for small vinyls of halftone image or full colour images).

Minimum Cost Example: The minimum amount of vinyl we will cut is 1000mm x 290mm, we can cut smaller stickers within this area i.e. if you needed a 100mm x 29mm sticker we could get 10 from the 1000mm and 10 from the 290mm so you would get 100 stickers. Gerber graphics can be printed onto different colours of vinyl i.e. black on yellow vinyl, as we are only printing one colour black this is classed as a 1 colour gerber graphic, which will cost £65.65 + VAT for the minimum size 1000mm x 290mm. If you required red and black print on cream vinyl this would be a 2 colour gerber graphic, which would cost you £76.35 + VAT for the minimum size. A 3 colour gerber graphic, which would cost you £84.45 + VAT for the minimum size. It is cheaper to get digitally printed 720 dpi full colour graphics than gerber graphics.

Flat vinyl graphics can only be cut from vector artwork, which means the if you view the artwork as outlines or in wireframe all elements will be created with a single out line, which the cutting blade travels along.

Scanning Bitmap Images
Flat colour vinyl graphics vector artwork can also be made from black and white bitmap logos, images or drawings which can be scanned and autotraced to make a vector line around the shapes.


Minimum Cost Example: The minimum amount of vinyl we will cut is 1000mm x 290mm, the smallest size of text we will cut is 20mm the smallest element is about 5mm. This is due to the fact we have to weed the excess vinyl, and if your vinyl contains tiny graphics, it is best to print them as gerber or digital full colour graphics. These graphics are cut from rolls of flat solid coloured vinyl. The minimum charge for a 1 colour flat colour graphic is £63.08 + VAT including postage and basic artwork or checking artwork supplied. The minimum charge for a 2 colour flat colour graphic, i.e. a graphic that uses 2 colours of vinyl that we will assemble as one sticker (like the dice) is £75.90 + VAT. The minimum charge for a 3 colour flat colour graphic, i.e. a graphic that uses 3 colours of vinyl that we will assemble as one sticker (just like the lion above) is £87.21 + VAT. The minimum charge for a 2 colour flat colour graphic, i.e. a graphic that uses 2 colours of vinyl that we will assemble as one sticker is £75.90 + VAT. The minimum charge for a 4 colour flat colour graphic, i.e. a graphic that uses 4 colours of vinyl that we will assemble as one sticker is £97.01 + VAT.
